Sailing in Style: My 12-Day Princess Cruise Aboard the Regal Princess!
I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a 12-day Caribbean cruise aboard the Regal Princess (also known as The Love Boat), and it was even more special as I was celebrating the completion of Princess Academy and achieving Commodore Status. Princess Cruises truly went above and beyond to deliver an unforgettable experience—and I’m excited to share the highlights with you!
First Impressions & Medallion Magic- The journey began the moment I received my OceanMedallion. This small but powerful device transformed my entire cruise experience. From automatic stateroom access when I approached my door to personalized greetings from crew members who knew me by name, every detail felt tailored and thoughtful. Using the Princess app, I was able to connect and chat with fellow cruisers, and even track their location onboard (if they allowed it). It made staying in touch and meeting up a breeze.
A Quick Note on Accommodations - I started out in an interior stateroom on Deck 15. After a few nights of hearing chairs being dragged in the venues above, I requested a room change. I was impressed with how quickly and professionally the request was handled—no fuss at all. Pro tip: when booking clients, I’ll definitely avoid Deck 15 due to its proximity to high-traffic areas above.
Dining, Delivered Anywhere - One of my favorite features of the MedallionClass experience was OceanNow—an on-demand service that allowed me to order food and drinks from anywhere on the ship. Whether I was poolside or relaxing in my stateroom, delicious bites and beverages were just a tap away. Dining overall was exceptional, with a wide variety of options: elegant specialty dining, casual bites, buffet-style meals, and the 24/7 International Café, perfect for late-night coffee and snacks.
Endless Entertainment - There was never a dull moment onboard. I enjoyed movies under the stars with a drink in hand and popcorn at the ready—such a unique experience! I also took advantage of the many outdoor activities, including pickleball, a walking track, mini golf, and even some friendly ping-pong matches.
Relaxation & Refreshment - When it was time to unwind, the ship’s plunge pools were just the thing. After a busy day exploring or participating in onboard fun, relaxing in the cool water was the perfect way to recharge.
Exploring the Caribbean - The itinerary was a dream: five gorgeous ports including Cozumel, Aruba, Curaçao, Antigua, and Tortola. While every stop had something special, Curaçao stole my heart with its charming character, and Antigua left a lasting impression with its breathtaking beaches.
Final Thoughts - This cruise wasn’t just a vacation, it was a celebration of achievement and a reminder of why I love traveling. The personalized service, thoughtful amenities, unforgettable destinations and new friendships made it a journey I’ll never forget. Whether you're a seasoned cruiser or planning your first voyage, Princess Cruises offers a truly elevated experience that’s hard to match.
